Owner, Matt Wasserman, has been a landscape designer since graduating from Colorado State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape horticulture with a design concentration. After gaining valuable experience working in California on elite residential estates, Matt chose to come back to Colorado and make Denver home. He spent time working and learning under other landscape companies before realizing his dream of owning his own business, and opened the doors to Innovative Design in 2003. Matt’s passion for “all things design” has led him to be a versatile resource in the industry. He has headed projects in landscape design and construction, waterfall design and construction, landscape architecture, site planning, graphic rendering, residential construction, interior design, lighting and modern art. While work has kept him closest to Denver, completed projects have taken him to places like San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, and Austin. In his free time, Matt enjoys time with his wife and 4 kids, boating, skiing, playingvolleyball and any great beach!
Designer, Josh Hodapp is a Colorado native born and raised in Littleton who graduated in 2013 from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Landscape Design and Contracting. Josh has a passion for designing unique outdoor spaces, designed with the intent to relax and unwind with family and friends. His strength as a designer is his ability to help clients visualize and create rare one of a kind designs in the landscape. Josh finds design inspirations through his travels. He enjoys Colorado for its many days of sunshine and its ever-changing seasons. Spending time outdoors with family and friends enjoying activities such as snowmobiling in the winter and boating in the summer.
Business Office Manager Carolina Cornejo, born in California, raised in Colorado, brought a decade of experience in Property Management to her role at Innovative Design. As the Office Manager, Carolina oversees administrative operations, including records management, accounting, and bookkeeping, ensuring the organization runs seamlessly. Her passion for creativity shines through in her event planning, baking, and crafting delicious meals. Outside of work, she cherishes spending quality time with family, sharing her culinary artistry, exploring the beauty of the mountains, and attending live music events that inspire her adventurous spirit.
